This week has felt super long because I’m headed to the beach this weekend and that just couldn’t get here soon enough! Here are some of my highs and lows from this week!
Highs:
- Having a student shadow me for the first time! I was nervous that I didn’t know enough yet and wasn’t ready to have someone following me around, but it was really fun.
- I got to sign up for my first conferences this week and I’m doing 2 different ones in October and November so that’s exciting!
- Having lunch with my mom! She’s a school teacher so she’s out for the summer, which means we are getting to have lunch together sometimes during the week. It’s so nice to get out of the office sometimes.
- A drug dinner for the derm providers in the area. I got to catch up with one of my best friends from school and have a great dinner. Apparently, my highs revolve around food…
Lows:
- Draining a felon (infected finger) and having it spray all over my scrub top. That thing had some serious pressure, and I learned my lesson about standing in the line of fire!
- Having EMR training during lunch on Tuesday. We’re upgrading our system, and not having a little break at lunch makes for an extra long day.
- This Georgia heat!! It’s been over 100 degrees every single day this week, and it’s almost painful to go outside at times.
What were some of your highs and lows this week?
